With the development of information technology, societies around the globe are increasingly faced with the need for computer literacy, specifically with the broader concept of information literacy, which is the basis for society’s technological advancement. Computer literacy is defined as the ability to use computers and computer programs. Information literacy represents the need for information and having skills on how to find, evaluate and utilize the best and latest information that is available, in order to solve a specific problem or to adopt some decision.

The development of modern information systems is a demanding task. New technologies and tools are designed, implemented and presented in the market on a bases. User needs change dramatically fast and the IT industry copes to reach the level of efficiency and adaptability for its systems in order to be competitive and up-to-date. Thus, the realization of modern information systems with great characteristics and functionalities implemented for specific areas of interest is a fact of our modern and demanding digital society. It aims to present a number of innovative and recently developed information systems. This book covers about IT learning with different tools, teaching aspects in IT education, learning different topics in the IT, along with case studies from different world regions.
Ira Mayberry obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from IT University in Melbourne. She is a Guest Lecturer in Computer Engineering at European University, Skopje. Her research interests include big data, business intelligence and predictive analytics, data and information science, information retrieval, XML, web services and service-oriented architectures, and relational and NoSQL database systems. She has contributed over 40 journals, articles and conference papers and also serves as a journal and conference reviewer.
