Physics has a crucial role to play in the day-to-day activities. It has a wide range of applications across
various verticals. Physics is a subject that is introduced in the curriculum of the schools at a very early stage
in the child’s educational journey as it explains various reasons behind several processes that take place in
the surroundings.
Physics is essential to nd the mechanisms behind the working of several objects and phenomena. With
physics it becomes easy to go deeper into the subject and nd the solutions to the problems that keep
coming up from time to time.
There have been various attempts and e orts made in the past to delve as deep into a subject as possible
and physics has been one instrumental force behind such endeavors. With the help of physics, the children
can start their educational lives on a note that promises explanations for the questions they ask and the
things they see happening.
General physics talks about various aspects of physics in a precise way. The book takes the readers through
the very basics of physics such as the explanation for physical quantities and further goes on to explain
di cult subjects and topics such as that of thermodynamics and electromagnetism.
The students need to be introduced to the subjects such as that of SI units and the concept of heat and
temperature along with the mechanics of the operation of several objects as they need to relate to the
various processes taking place in their vicinity and nd answers to the questions they may be having
regarding those things.
With this book I hope that the students get introduced to physics in the most detailed way possible. I hope
that the students can use this knowledge to the best of their abilities and can employ the concepts
explained in the book relating them to the real world problems. The book contains a lot of activities which
may also be helpful in making the students understand the topics in detail.
This book is also helpful for the teachers in a way that it provides them enough content to trace their knowledge
back to the basics and use the content to explain the concepts clearly to the students. I hope that this
book is instrumental in enlightening the young minds about the important concepts of physics and that
they nd the book interesting to read and gain knowledge from.
